Controller General of Accounts


MR. FARRUKH AHMAD HAMIDI, a BPS-22 officer of Pakistan Audit & Accounts Service (CSS 14th CTP-1986 batch) assumed the charge of Controller General of Accounts on 11 March 2021. With 34 years’ background in the service, he has served in Office of the Accountant General Sindh, Pakistan Audit & Accounts Academy, Pakistan Telecommunication Corporation, Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority, Dow University of Health Sciences, Sindh Privatization Commission, DG Commercial Audit & Evaluation, Pakistan Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), State Life Insurance Corporation and Office of the Auditor-General Pakistan. As a qualified Director from Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance Karachi he has been on the Boards-of-Directors of Alpha Insurance Company, Pak Datacom Ltd., Fauji Fertilizer Company and Pakistan Cables Ltd. On a special assignment he audited the accounts of United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) South Africa in 2011. He headed a multi-national Audit Commission of Asia Pacific Space Cooperation (APSCO Beijing) for two years during his posting as Member Finance at SUPARCO. He was Accountant General Sindh, Deputy Auditor General and Chairman/Executive Director State Life Insurance Corporation before his promotion to BPS-22. He was last posted as Additional Auditor General/Principal Accounting Officer of the office of the Auditor-General of Pakistan.
